Job summary

Quikrete is seeking a Yellow Iron Mobile Mechanic in Silverthorne, CO. You will maintain and service yellow iron equipment on active sites, following safety and OEM guidelines.

The role requires 1+ years of heavy equipment experience; knowledge of CAT/Komatsu/JD equipment and hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting is essential. CDL is a plus, and a valid license is required for site access.

Qualifications

• 1+ years heavy equipment/yellow iron mechanic experience.
• Strong understanding of Caterpillar, Komatsu, or John Deere equipment.
• Proficient with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical, cooling, fuel, and drive train systems.
• Service and rebuild components such as hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, final drives, swing bearings, radiators, coolers, and aftercoolers.
• Perform scheduled PMs following OEM and company standards.
• Troubleshoot fault codes using CAT ET or similar diagnostic software.
• Identify root causes of repeated failures and report them to the Equipment Manager.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
