Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our customers Heavy Duty Diesel Trucks and Tractor Trailers
• Provide quality customer service
• Inspect and repair semi‑truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi‑trucks and trailers
• Assemble and disassemble vehicle engines and clean the fuel tanks
• Maintain hubs and axles, adjusting or replacing them when required
• Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires
• Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
• Ensure trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management
• Respond quickly to client queries and interact with customers in person or by phone

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

• 4+ years of Tractor‑Trailer Mechanic experience or related field (preferred)
• Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks
• Basic reading, writing, and customer repair order skills
• Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing
• Ability to work in a team and follow shop safety procedures
• Knowledge of ABS, brakes, diagnostics, electronics, lights, hydraulics, suspensions, power, reefer, and heavy duty systems
• Provide own tools
