Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our national fleet maintenance team. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles, diagnosing issues, and documenting repairs.

This position offers weekly pay. Schedule Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00pm to 5:30am, with pay between $30.00 and $40.00 per hour based on experience, plus full benefits within 30 days and opportunities for training,

Qualifications

5+ years' hands-on automotive maintenance and repairs experience.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to maintain personal tools and toolbox for the role.
Eligible for pre-employment screenings (drug screen, DOT physical if required).

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
