Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking a Mobile Fleet Equipment Service Technician in Charlotte, NC. The role involves maintaining company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, with responsibilities spanning preventive maintenance, on-site repairs, and field testing to ensure reliability and safety.

The position requires 3+ years in automotive/heavy equipment repair, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid CDL/DOT ability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with specialized repair training.
• Minimum 3 years as a mechanic in automotive/heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of distribution electrical construction equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections.
• Conduct unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Repair engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust systems; perform field tests using manuals and specs.
• Document repairs and parts on work orders; use Fleetio and other required software.
• Adhere to safety provisions per OSHA/ ANSI/ DOT standards.
• Willingness to travel for storm work as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
