Job summary

State of Maine is seeking a mechanical craft worker for Maintenance and Operations (Region 4 - Eastern Maine) in Guilford, ME. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing heavy equipment in the field, with independent judgment and region-wide responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years experience in the maintenance, repair, and/or rebuild of automotive and/or construction equipment.
• Two (2) years experience with heavy vehicle and construction equipment.
• One (1) year of related work performed independently.
• Experience which indicates ability to receive, store, and distribute parts and/or supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and rebuild heavy vehicle, automotive, and construction equipment in the field.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and evaluate conditions.
• Test, install, repair, rebuild, rewire, replace, and fabricate parts as needed.
• Operate with independence in field or mobile service environments.
