Job summary

Transcat is seeking an onsite Calibration Technician to provide travel-based calibration services in the New Jersey area. You will calibrate measurement and test equipment, identify out-of-tolerance conditions, and perform minor repairs while maintaining thorough service documentation.

Ideal candidates have calibration experience with M&TE, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with MS Office. This travel role requires a valid driver's license and willingness to travel Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Calibration experience and/or training with M&TE
• Customer-service oriented and professional
• MS Office proficiency; basic database familiarity
• 3+ years driving with valid license

Responsibilities

• Calibrate measurement and test equipment (M&TE) to manufacturers' specifications
• Determine out-of-tolerance conditions for customer M&TE and calibration standards
• Provide corrective action (adjustments, minor repairs) for out-of-tolerance conditions
• Update and maintain documentation of services
• Inform customers about other services and equipment offered by Transcat
• Maintain calibration standards
• Provide feedback on calibration practices and procedures
• Submit and update travel and administrative paperwork as required
• Other duties as assigned
