Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates in Waco, TX is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator for the day shift. You will operate multiple pieces of mobile equipment, perform pre-shift inspections, and communicate with teammates to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of experience, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions. Arcosa offers competitive pay, benefits, and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Prompt, regular attendance is required.
• The ability to stand, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in related roles.
• Ability to operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement.
• Operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment (e.g., haul truck, front loader).
• Operate equipment in dredge environment.
• Comply with safety rules and government regulations.
• Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment and workplace.
• Maintain strong communication with plant staff and other operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will do:

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.)
• Operate equipment in dredge environment
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

What you will need:

• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)

• A minimum of 1 year of experience
• Ability to operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.) or willing to learn to operate equipment in an aggregate environment.

Working Conditions and physical environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
