Job summary

Reworld, in partnership with HPOWER, seeks a Mobile Equipment Mechanic in Kapolei, Hawaii. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment at the energy-from-waste plant, servicing front-end loaders, tractors, trailers and other heavy machinery.

Requires high school diploma, 4+ years’ heavy equipment maintenance or 2 years trade school + 2 years experience; must pass respirator fit test; CDL Class A a plus; strong safety focus and ability to read

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance experience, or 2 years trade school + 2 years experience.
• Ability to operate front-end loader and tractor/trailer.
• Must pass respirator fit test and be clean shaven.
• CDL Class A license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace damaged parts in braking, engines, fuel, powertrain, electrical and hydraulics.
• Adjust and repair subassemblies such as transmissions.
• Diagnose faults using engine diagnostic equipment.
• Operate and inspect machines to identify defects.
• Read manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Maintain service records and order parts.
