About The Role
The role builds and maintains native mobile applications for iOS and Android that serve as the primary touchpoint for millions of users. This is hands‑on product engineering: shipping features, optimizing performance, and owning quality across the full mobile stack.
The engineer will work closely with backend, design, and product teams in a fast‑moving environment where release cadence, crash‑free rates, and user experience are all measured and matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship features in Swift/Kotlin (or cross‑platform Kotlin Multiplatform/React Native where appropriate) for production iOS and Android apps
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of user‑facing features: architecture, implementation, testing, release, and post‑launch monitoring
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, push notifications, deep linking, and background processing with robust offline‑first behavior
- Improve app performance and reliability: startup time, memory footprint, ANR/crash rates, and battery efficiency, using tools like Instruments and Android Profiler
- Automate CI/CD pipelines with Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, or Gradle; manage app store releases, phased rollouts, and feature flags (LaunchDarkly or similar)
- Instrument analytics and crash reporting (Firebase, Sentry, Amplitude) and use the data to drive prioritization and fixes
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring of junior engineers
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of professional mobile engineering experience with at least one app shipped and maintained at significant scale (100K+ MAU preferred)
- Deep proficiency in Swift and iOS (UIKit and/or SwiftUI) or Kotlin and Android (Jetpack Compose), with strong fundamentals in the second platform
- Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns: MVVM, modularization, dependency injection (Hilt, Swinject), and reactive programming (Combine, Coroutines/Flow, RxSwift)
- Experience with offline storage, synchronization, and conflict resolution (Core Data, Room, SQLite, Realm)
- Hands‑on with testing practices: unit, integration, and UI testing (XCTest, Espresso, Detox)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Kotlin Multiplatform, React Native/Flutter experience, mobile security (certificate pinning, secure storage), or contributions to open‑source mobile libraries
