Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Engineer to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building systems. You’ll perform preventative and routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety standards are met while keeping detailed records.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in building maintenance, EPA 608, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency with CMMS/BMS and MS Office is preferred, with a team-focused, safety-conscious mindset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 4 years of licensed HVAC journeyman experience or equivalent program.
• EPA 608 certification.
• Trades schooling in electrical design, refrigeration and HVAC preferred.
• 4–6 years of relevant work experience in building preventative & corrective maintenance.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Experience using CMMS &/or Building Management System (BMS).
• Strong Customer Service & Interpersonal skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Strong Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

What this job involves

The Mobile Engineer supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.

What your day-to-day will look like

• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, and for the facility to keep these systems up to applicable standards.
• Performs predictive, planned, preventative and routine maintenance.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with established work standards and practices
• Determines and/or assists with analyzing and resolving work problems and achieving work goals.
• Maintains time and production records and customer service requests utilizing a variety of computer/technology tools.
• Team player with the desire to foster teamwork to help create a positive working environment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep these systems up to applicable standards.
• Performs and/or completes all client service requests accurately and expediently.
• Complies with all policies and procedures established for the building, including safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
• Actively participates in emergency response procedures, technical and safety training programs.
• Perform all work using the proper safety equipment and in a safe manner.

Physical Work Requirements & Conditions

• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working from heights.
• Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; A combination of four years of experience as a licensed HVAC journeyman or completing a formal program providing equivalent experience
• EPA 608 certification
• Trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC preferred
• Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience; industry general building preventative & corrective maintenance
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) &/or Building Management System (BMS)
• Strong Customer Service & Interpersonal skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Strong Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills are required
