CBRE is seeking a Mobile Engineer in Ohio to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, systems, and equipment. You’ll review work orders, manage inventory, and implement preventive programs to sustain operations while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead by example, coach others, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable facility services under CBRE’s values.

• High School Diploma or GED or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license required.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lift/carry 50 lbs).
• Ability to exercise judgment based on multiple information sources.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to meet or exceed design life; oversee repairs and emergencies.
• Review inspections of building/industrial systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety policies.
• Operate company vehicles in daily work tasks.
• Share knowledge and coach others within the function.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE values (RISE).
• Impact customer, operational, project, and service activities within teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and explain difficult information.

About The Role

As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
• Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
• Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
• Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Ohio Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The salary range is $11 - $32.00 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
