Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile Electrician to inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across facilities in the Denton area. You will support preventive maintenance programs and repairs on systems as part of Engineering and Technical Services.

The role requires hands-on work with electrical and lighting systems, installation duties, and a focus on safety and reliability. A Master Electrician license and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3–4 years of job-related experience.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Master Electrician license required per local electrical codes.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to meet physical requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems’ operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace components such as motors, switches, wiring, pumps, and fans.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and operating safely.
  • Review maintenance history to plan proactive inspection and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Explain complex information clearly to others.
  • Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
  • Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Mobile Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.

  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.

  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.

  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.

  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
