Job summary

Black Box is seeking a dynamic Project Safety Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) operations for national data center projects from our Plano, TX headquarters. This onsite leadership role drives a proactive safety culture and ensures every project team returns home safely.

You will train at our Plano facility, then deploy to major data center projects across the U.S., mentoring teams and representing Black Box's commitment to safety excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety or related field.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/510 strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Ability to travel nationwide as part of a mobile deployment team.

Responsibilities

• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with standards.
• Act as onsite authority for EHS activities: inspections, audits, daily walks, toolbox talks, risk mitigation.
• Mentor EHS Specialists and Safety Coordinators; delegate tasks and develop talent.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), implement corrective actions.
• Manage EHS documentation, reporting cadence, and communication with stakeholders.
