Hawthorne-Health seeks a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to perform home-based echocardiograms using portable ultrasound equipment for both adults and children. You will explain procedures, obtain patient cooperation, and ensure high-quality image acquisition in field settings.

The role requires travel to patient homes, strong communication skills, independence, BLS, and ARDMS/CCI credentials. Compensation is per visit, with a daily rate between $450 and $600 depending on assignments.

Qualifications

• RDCS/ RCS certification from ARDMS/CCI required.
• AE certification preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of recent sonography experience in adult and pediatric populations.
• BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Access to a personal computer with reliable internet; tech-savvy.
• Ability to work independently in field-based settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic field environments.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Travel to patient homes to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures to participants and obtain informed cooperation.
• Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adults and children.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
