Job summary

Lilly's Mobile Dog Grooming in the South Bay area of Los Angeles is hiring experienced groomers who love dogs and safety. Our team works with top-of-the-line mobile vans, supplying all tools and materials to deliver high-quality grooming for a loyal client base.

You will perform breed-specific cuts, educate clients, and maintain excellent care in a supportive, family-like environment. Training is provided; a flexible schedule and competitive pay with tips are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of grooming experience.
• Comfortable working with various breeds.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift dogs over 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education.
• Active driver's license with clean driving record.
• Previous mobile grooming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Brush and detangle or remove matted coats.
• Bathing.
• Execute a variety of haircut techniques and style requests.
• Examine for parasites or other skin conditions.
• Trim nails.
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times.
• Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners and management.

What You’ll Do

• Provide professional grooming, including brushing, bathing, drying, haircuts, styling & nail trims.
• Perform breed-specific cuts and styles based on client preferences.
• Safely handle and care for dogs throughout the grooming process.
• Identify and communicate concerns such as parasites, skin conditions or abnormalities.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized grooming environment.
• Provide exceptional, compassionate customer service.
• Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience (mobile or salon)
• Experience with various breeds and breed-specific haircuts
• Ability to safely lift dogs over 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, motivated and comfortable working independently
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
• Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to our insurer
• Previous mobile grooming experience is a plus
