Job summary

Clarke Power Services, Inc. is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician to perform on-site maintenance and repairs on customer locations, operating a service truck, and completing preventative maintenance and diagnostics.

The role features day shift Mon-Fri with possible on-call rotation every 4 weeks and a competitive hourly rate. Requires basic diesel service background, valid driver's license, and CDL/ASE a plus.

Qualifications

• Preventative maintenance service background preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• CDL and ASE certifications are a plus.
• Experience with service and repair on diesel trucks is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair work: engine, driveline, steering, electrical, suspension and brakes.
• Troubleshooting and inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain good computer and verbal communication with customers.
• Work independently and on-site at customer locations.
• Operate mobile service truck; may take truck home.
• Maintain documentation and reports as required.

Mon-Fri: Day Shift Schedule

Potential On Call Schedule (Rotation every 4 weeks)

What are the Duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Service and repair work, engine, drive train, steering, electrical, suspension and brakes
• Troubleshooting and inspections
• Preventative Maintenance
• Good computer skills and good verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Will perform onsite maintenance & repairs at customer's location
• Will operate mobile service truck daily (can take truck home)
• Preventative Maintenance Service Background Required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid Driver's License with good driving record
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus
• ASE Certifications a plus

Physical and Safety Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
• The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
• The associate must be able to read and write reports.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medcard

Education and/or Experience

• Preventative Maintenance Service Background Required
• Preferred Certificate or Degree from Diesel Program
