Job summary

Cornhusker International Trucks, Inc. is seeking Mobile Maintenance Technicians to service Class 6–8 trucks at customer locations across Omaha, Lincoln and Norfolk. You will train with a senior technician and progress toward mastery while on the go.

Expected schedule is 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with flexible on-call hours. Benefits include a brand new work truck, tools, paid training, and opportunities for career growth. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive coverage offered.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of automotive, diesel technician or similar industry experience preferred.
• Must posses effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must have a clean driving record; Commercial Driver's license preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and physical.
• Must be able to frequently lift 10 to 75 lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to manage all weather elements - heat, cold, wind, wetness and humidity.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to perform oil changes, fluid checks, and other preventative maintenance on Class 6,7,8 trucks
• Inspect vehicle systems including engine, transmission, driveline, brake and cooling systems for potential maintenance issues.
• Replace oil filters, fuel filters and other serviceable components according to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inspection reports
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of oils, lubricants, and waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify maintenance needs or mechanical concerns
