Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician in Charlotte, NC for a full-time 1st shift role (5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.).

You will perform on-site maintenance on trucks, containers and trailers with a service truck stocked with required tools and parts. Ideal candidates have a diesel tech background or 1 year of experience, a valid driver's license, and must obtain a DOT medical card within 30 days; travel to on-site customers is required; basic welding and diagnostic software

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year diesel technician experience.
• Valid driver's license and can meet Schneider DMV record standards.
• Valid DOT medical card or able to attain it within 30 days.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

• Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
