Job summary

Clean Harbors Elgin, IL is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the fleet at branch locations across the area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• 1+ years experience with heavy-duty trucks/equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety remains the top priority by following all safety practices.
• Perform preventative maintenance and correct equipment deficiencies as directed.
• Inspect equipment thoroughly to identify unsatisfactory conditions.
• Comply with PPE requirements during all tasks.
• Travel to other locations for repairs and maintenance as required.
• Complete and submit PM-related paperwork for tracking schedules.
• Maintain current light duty or DQ driver status as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
