Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers at customer sites. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance using a company-provided service truck and digital tools.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Strong communication skills with customers and drivers.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to document repairs.

Responsabilidades

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with urgency.
• Respond to dispatches for scheduled and unscheduled service.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Safely handle tools and welding equipment as needed.
• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck and perform pre/post-trip inspections.

About The Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician Role

As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you’ll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety in their work. You’ll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including emergency roadside service when needed.

Geared up with your own, fully equipped company service truck, top-tier tools, and a supportive team that values your skill, drive and dedication, you’ll tackle new challenges every day and take pride in delivering safe, reliable and efficient service that keeps America moving.

Schedules

Sunday-Thursday, 3:00pm-12:00am

Where You’ll Make an Impact

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems - everything that keeps a fleet running strong.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues fast.
• Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.
• Road test vehicles to ensure every repair meets top-quality standards.
• Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
• Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safety compliance.
• Jump in wherever needed – we're a team that supports each other.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise that keeps fleets rolling safely.
• Strong communication skills – you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.
• Ready for the outdoors – rain or shine at customer yards.
• Independent, dependable, and self-motivated – you take pride in getting the job done right.
• A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
• Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
• Bring your own hand tools and we’ll supply everything else.

Work Environment

• Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas – safety and precision are key.
• Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment.
• Safely handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work.
• Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.
