Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking experienced diesel and trailer technicians to join our mobile maintenance network. Our on-site team comes to customer locations to perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, using modern tools and digital work orders.

The role emphasizes reliability, DOT compliance, and efficient communication—must have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a valid license, and the ability to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed.
• Proficient with a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders including labor hours and statuses.
• 2 years of experience performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of truck/trailer maintenance or equivalent experience/education.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers (brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical, etc.).
• Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle/trailer components.
• Open and close repair orders on a company device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.

On-Site Truck and Trailer Maintenance and Repairs

Our mobile repair experts come to you, performing all maintenance and repairs at your location and around your schedule. All of our technicians are D.O.T. and brake certified and are capable of performing a great number of repairs and services.

What You’ll Do

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

What You’ll Need To Have

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools
