Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Mobile Developer to build and maintain cross‑platform mobile apps, extending the OpenWorks digital platform. You will own React Native features from concept to deployment and manage releases to App Store and Google Play.

You will collaborate with Engineering, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable mobile experiences, leveraging AI-assisted tools to speed up development and improve quality.

Qualifications

• Experience building production mobile apps with React Native.

• Strong understanding of cross‑platform mobile development and release workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement React Native features and UI components with responsive layouts and platform-appropriate UX.
• Own end-to-end release process for Apple App Store and Google Play, including build configuration and store listings.
• Integrate apps with RESTful and GraphQL APIs with authentication, offline support and observability.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and monitor crash/performance metrics to improve stability.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to expand automated tests and improve CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployments.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions to improve the mobile platform.

About the Role

We're looking for a Mobile Developer to build and maintain high-quality, cross-platform mobile applications that extend the OpenWorks digital platform to customers, providers, and field teams. In this role, you'll own React Native features from concept through deployment, manage mobile releases to both app stores, and collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable mobile experiences.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement React Native features and UI components with responsive layouts, smooth performance, and platform-appropriate user experiences.
• Own the end-to-end release process for the Apple App Store and Google Play, including build configuration, signing, store listings, and phased rollouts.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful and GraphQL APIs while handling authentication, offline functionality, error states, and observability.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code or similar, to accelerate development, testing, refactoring, maintenance, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues across the mobile stack while monitoring crash and performance metrics to improve application stability.
• Partner with QA to expand automated test coverage and collaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployments.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and feature planning to continuously improve the mobile platform.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience building production mobile applications with React Native.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Proficiency with React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, Git, and mobile app deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of cross-platform mobile development and iOS/Android release workflows.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot performance and stability issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive, continuous learning mindset.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar is a plus.
• A strong eye for mobile user experience and design patterns is preferred.
