Job summary

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) seeks a Dental Assistant 3 for its Mobile Dental Clinic, based at the Gracewood campus in Augusta, GA. You will assist the dentist, support chair-side care, and help run a mobile unit traveling to 26 rural counties daily.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Dental assisting degree or certificate preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in a dental setting or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance during examinations, preventative treatments, and procedures; prepare and transfer tools; maintain field of operation.
• Infection control: sanitize instruments, prepare treatment space, document notes in EMR.
• Patient education: provide oral care guidance and adapt communication for adults with IDD.
