Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking hands-on operators to support production and site operations across Southern Wisconsin. You will run crushers, screens, and wash plants, and operate loaders, haul trucks, water trucks, dozers, and more, joining a union-friendly team with on-the-job training.

The role demands a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, 3–5+ years of mining experience, and comfort working outdoors in varying weather. Travel between project sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5+ years of relevant mining experience.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Reliable, on-time, and comfortable working outdoors.
• Willingness to join the union (we’ll help with that).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain crushers, screens, and wash plants to support production and site operations.
• Operate loaders, haul trucks, water trucks, dozers, and more as needed.
• Assist with routine maintenance, welding, inspections and general labor.
• Keep the job site clean, organized and safe; work in varying weather conditions with early starts and occasional weekends.
• Use equipment such as welders, torches, jackhammers, and power tools.
