Job summary

CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES INC. seeks a Crisis Service Professional to provide on-call crisis response and mobile support for individuals facing mental health emergencies across Wisconsin.

You will conduct risk assessments, deliver brief crisis counseling, and coordinate follow-up services in homes, hospitals, or community settings. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, strong crisis decision-making, and the ability to work independently under pressure while building diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
• At least one year of experience with mental health clients preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and Wisconsin statutes.
• Strong crisis assessment and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work independently and professionally under pressure.
• Effective relationship‑building skills with diverse populations.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond promptly within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Responding to crisis calls and conducting mobile crisis interventions.
• Performing risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions.
• Providing brief crisis counseling and follow-up services.
• Meeting clients in homes, hospitals, or community locations.
• Responding to emergency or suicide-related calls.
• Gathering information from interviews and records, and connecting clients to community resources.
• Maintaining relationships with law enforcement, courts, and community partners.
• Documenting client interactions according to regulations.
• Identifying service gaps and suggesting improvements.
• Staying informed on laws, procedures, and best practices.
