Job summary

The Mobile Crisis Evaluator role at Choices Inc. is part of the Jefferson Parish Mobile Crisis Team, providing immediate crisis assessment and stabilization for youth and families in the least restrictive setting possible.

Under supervision, you will develop crisis safety plans, assist with hospital admissions and transportation, and ensure follow-up during the 7-day post-crisis period.

Qualifications

• Must be provisionally licensed mental health professional.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.
• Familiarity with local resources and crisis response.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis referrals per policy and provide immediate crisis assessment.
• Develop and revise individualized crisis safety plans.
• Assist in hospital admission and transportation arrangements.
• Provide follow-up during the 7-day post-crisis period.
• Coordinate with first responders, community partners and leadership.
• Maintain documentation and data for performance and quality indicators.
• Engage in team meetings and uphold 24/7 mobile crisis response responsibilities.
