Qualifications

• MHRT-CSP certification required upon hire; staff must complete the training.
• CPR/First Aid, MANDT, Naloxone training provided by the agency.
• Background check and licensing/regulatory requirements must be met.

AMHC is seeking a full-time, exempt, Mobile Crisis Clinical Consultant to provide clinical consultation and support for the agency's emergency and crisis services in Maine's Washington and Hancock Counties.

This position provides consultation to Mobile Crisis Providers, Crisis Unit staff, and other AMHC clinicians as needed.

The Mobile Crisis Clinical Consultant will review mobile crisis initial assessments, provide clinical guidance and diagnostic review, support crisis unit admissions and discharges, and offer weekly drop-in consultation hours for staff.

The position helps ensure that clinical services and documentation meet AMHC standards and applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide clinical consultation to AMHC staff seeking emergency or clinical support.
• Support Mobile Crisis and Crisis Unit teams and work collaboratively with crisis leadership.
• Review mobile crisis documentation and initial crisis evaluations, including diagnostic justification.
• Assist with clinical review related to crisis unit admissions and discharges.
• Provide at least two hours of drop-in consultation office hours each week.
• Maintain accurate electronic clinical records in accordance with AMHC policies and applicable regulations.
• Provide services within the scope of the employee’s Maine professional license.
• Maintain all professional licensing requirements and ethical standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The employee must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, walk, talk, hear, and operate standard office equipment, including a computer keyboard and mouse.

SCHEDULE AND EMPLOYMENT

• This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• The position will work atypical hours as needed to support AMHC's 24/7/365 crisis services.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP

The Mobile Crisis Clinical Consultant is administratively and clinically supervised by the Program Director of Crisis Services.

OTHER DUTIES

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• This position requires a Master of Social Work or Counseling degree or a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, and Licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Counselor, or Clinical Psychologist in the State of Maine.
• This position requires an MHRT-CSP. Upon hire, staff will be required to complete the MHRT-CSP training appropriate to their role and experience.
• Required training includes CPR/First Aid Training, MANDT (Day 1), trained to administer and carry Naloxone and complete Peer Support 101 Training. Training is provided by the agency upon hire.
• The ability to pass a background check and meet other licensing or regulatory requirements is required.
