Job summary

Crane Service, Inc. in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair mobile crane equipment, trucks, and trailers.

You’ll travel up to 80% and work on all-terrain, rough-terrain and crawler cranes, following safety policies and using established procedures. The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a mobile crane mechanic/technician, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 75–80%.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Ability to read operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts for damage or excessive wear using gauges.
• Test mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems after repair to OEM specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Prepare for jobs by verifying parts and drawings.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance on site and in vehicles.
• Complete reports, hour sheets and work orders accurately.
