Job summary

Mercyhealth Perryville is seeking a Mobile Medical Coach to drive and prepare a mobile unit, ensuring equipment, safety checks, and patient readiness for each visit. You will support clinical staff with set up, basic care tasks, and maintain logs to aid safe, efficient care delivery.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED, a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and at least 3 years of tractor/trailer experience. Schedule: 40 hours weekly, days, $19.40–$29.10 per hour.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Three years experience in driving tractor/trailers.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification; maintain a valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares coach, powers up equipment and ensures that doors and ramps are ready for patient use.
  • Prepares equipment for transport to and from sites and anticipates arrival and set up as part of the preparation.
  • Maintains mileage and fuel purchase records, and driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Observes safety and security at all times obeying laws and speed limits.
  • Maintains a valid CDL at all times.
  • Driving record clear of offenses.
  • Valid medical examination at all times is required and examination performed when due.
  • Understands and provides records pertaining to the tractor trailer.
  • Assists management with the record keeping of the tractor trailer.
  • Notifies the appropriate service personnel when necessary.
  • Assist clinical partner(s) with patient care and other duties when asked.
  • Assist with exam set up; replace linens, coil selection and placement, supply preparation, clean up.
  • Use software systems proficiently to assist in monitoring patient histories prior to appointment dates, review patient screening form, import/scan documentation, and export as necessary.

Support clinical staff with patient setup, equipment preparation, and basic care tasks to keep operations running smoothly. Follow safety regulations, maintain accurate logs, and help create a safe and efficient experience for patients and care teams.

Schedule: 40-hours per week, FT

Shift: Days

Location: Mercyhealth Perryville

Pay Range: $19.40 - $29.10

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Clean driving record. Three years experience in driving tractor/trailers.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE

Approved CPR or BLS certification. Maintain a valid driver license, Class A CDL. For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles: maintain a valid driver license; have an acceptable driving record per HR policy. For those driving personal vehicles: must have a valid license, reliable vehicle with proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record per HR policy.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills – Knowledge of order processing systems.

Partner is required to lift equipment that is needed to maintain and ready the equipment and as well as assisting patients on and off the exam table and ramp.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION

Direct supervisor is Team Lead at Perryville. Indirect supervisor is Director of Occupational Medicine. The position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
