Job summary

Community Healthcare Network (CHN) is seeking a Mobile Clinic Driver for full-time roles at multiple sites across New York City. You will drive the mobile clinic safely, maintain the vehicle, and help stock and prepare supplies for clinics and health events.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of driving experience in mobile clinics, EMS vehicles, or similar settings. Applicants should be committed to serving underserved communities in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Drives Mobile Clinic to and from clinic sessions at prenatal shelters, health fairs and events.
• Maintains awareness of potential risk to clients, staff and facility during sessions.
• Performs routine maintenance and interior cleaning of the mobile unit.
• Replenishes stock of clinic/medical supplies to the mobile unit.
• Facilitates related services for health center patients with respect to confidentiality.
• Completes medical supply inventory and reports items to the Clinic Director.
• Prepares clinic and laboratory areas with supplies before sessions and secures them after.
• Maintains daily vehicle mileage and compressor hours.
• Completes driver vehicle evaluation form weekly.
• Maintains log of vehicle inspections daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Conducts outreach to promote mobile programs and helps secure new patients.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mobile Clinic Driver is r esponsible for the safe driving of the mobile unit and the proper running and maintenance of the vehicle.

JOB FUNCTION:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drives Mobile Clinic to and from clinic sessions at prenatal shelters to health fairs and other events, as directed.
• Maintains awareness of potential risk to clients, staff and facility while clinic is in session.
• Performs all routine maintenance and interior cleaning services for mobile unit.
• Replenishes stock of clinic/medical supplies to mobile unit.
• Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
• Completes medical supply inventory and reports items to be ordered to Clinic Director to order.
• Prepares clinic and laboratory areas with appropriate supplies prior to clinic sessions. Replaces and secures same at the conclusion of sessions.
• Maintains daily log of vehicle mileage and compressor hours.
• Completes driver vehicle evaluation form weekly.
• Maintains log of routine inspections of vehicle, daily, weekly and monthly.
• Conducts outreach to promote the programs offered in the mobile
• Helps to secure new patients for mobile services
• Performs other related duties as requested.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• At least one year experience as a driver of a mobile clinic, E.M.S. vehicle, or operator of a vehicle under similar circumstances, preferable medically related.
