Job summary

Healthy Minds Philly is hiring a full-time Certified Peer Specialist to deliver mobile, flexible, community-based services that empower recovery and community integration for individuals with mental health challenges. The role requires collaboration, outreach, WRAP planning, and documentation within EHR systems.

Responsibilities include helping participants set self-directed goals, navigating benefits, housing options, and resources, and supporting participation in community activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; an Associates degree in a human services field preferred.
• Credentialed as a Certified Peer Specialist and certified through PA Certification Board.
• Within the last three years, at least 12 months of paid or voluntary work experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the local Mental Health System.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn software applications relevant to the role.
• Strong communication, cultural competence, interpersonal skills, teamwork, attention to detail, customer service, time management, autonomy, problem solving, and organization.
• Valid driver’s license.
• COVID-19 vaccination required per company policy with reasonable accommodations available.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with participants to create self-directed recovery goals.
• Support participants with educational, employment, social goals, benefit/medical resources, budgeting and housing options per support plan.
• Attend socialization activities and recovery-related events.
• Develop WRAP Plans and encourage advanced directives; facilitate peer support groups as needed.
• Document participant progress in the electronic health records system.
• Perform other duties to fulfill MHP’s mission.
