We are seeking a Mobile Automation QA Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Appium and Java to support mobile application testing across multiple client teams. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, executing, and debugging automated test scripts for both existing and upcoming iOS and Android applications. The team is responsible for testing changes to the client's mobile platforms, including monthly releases and regression testing of existing applications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience building and maintaining mobile automation frameworks and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. The selected candidate will join an established team of 5–6 mobile automation engineers and report directly to Siva.
Hands‑On Appium Experience Requirements: This role is primarily focused on writing, executing, debugging, and maintaining automated mobile tests, rather than manual QA alone. Candidates should be able to explain their personal experience with: Setting up or enhancing an Appium automation framework. Developing and maintaining Java‑based test scripts. Automating functional and regression test cases for iOS and Android applications. Integrating automated tests into Jenkins or another CI/CD pipeline. Investigating and resolving failed or flaky automated tests. Configuring and running tests on emulators, simulators, and physical devices. Maintaining automation scripts as applications and platform requirements change.
Preferred evidence of hands‑on expertise: A GitHub repository, portfolio, or demonstrable project experience showcasing the candidate's Appium automation work.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong mobile automation engineer who has personally developed and maintained Appium automation using Java across iOS and Android. They should be comfortable troubleshooting automation failures, supporting recurring release cycles, and contributing code within an established mobile automation team. Primary screening focus: Prioritize candidates who can clearly demonstrate hands‑on Appium and Java automation experience, including framework setup, test development, debugging, and CI/CD integration. Manual QA experience alone will not meet the core requirements.
