Job summary

Purple Drive LLC is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android platforms. You will craft comprehensive manual and automated test cases for mobile apps, APIs, and end-to-end workflows, and drive performance, security, and accessibility testing across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in automated testing of mobile apps across iOS and Android with Appium, Java, Selenium, REST Assured, Postman and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven test design, execution, exploratory testing, UAT, defect management and test reporting.
• Experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Good understanding of AWS services including AppSync, API Gateway, GraphQL, DynamoDB and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience testing Spring Boot microservices and enterprise integrations.
• Strong knowledge of functional regression, integration, accessibility, performance, usability and security testing practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps, Agile methodologies and continuous testing practices.
• Knowledge of mobile accessibility standards and OWASP mobile security guidelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android using Appium and industry-standard tools.
• Develop, review and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases for mobile applications, APIs and end-to-end workflows.
• Perform exploratory, functional, regression, integration, system, accessibility, performance and security testing activities.
• Validate application functionality across multiple devices, operating systems, browsers and environments.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster release cycles.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, DevOps and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test data, traceability matrices and automation assets.
• Execute manual test cycles, identify defects, perform root cause analysis and work with development teams for resolution.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and support release validation and production readiness.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise quality standards, accessibility requirements and security best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted testing approaches to improve automation coverage, productivity and overall test effectiveness.
• Support performance testing initiatives and provide inputs on application quality, reliability and scalability.
• Review automation scripts and contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Publish test execution reports, defect metrics, test summaries and quality status updates for stakeholders.
• Support UAT, production validation and post-release verification activities.
