Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to break down complex initiatives into phased tasks and deliver them through close collaboration with product, design, and analytics teams. The role includes monitoring metrics, supporting on-call work, and contributing to team development activities.

You will design and implement well-tested solutions across web and mobile platforms using React, Vue, Kotlin, and Python, navigating large codebases and conducting thorough debugging and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1.5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping web apps using React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross‑platform tech such as React Native.
• Experience building scalable APIs with Kotlin or Python.
• Ability to design and implement well‑tested solutions across components.
• Navigate large codebases, debug and review code, seek feedback, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Break larger projects into phased tasks and deliver them in collaboration with teammates and stakeholders across product management, design, and analytics.
• Monitor metrics, escalate issues, contribute to on-call work, and participate in team development activities.
