Job summary

EDGE Services, Inc. seeks a mobile software engineer to design, develop, and maintain mobile banking features for iOS and/or Android. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional Agile teams, code reviews, and ongoing platform improvements.

Hybrid schedule with 2-3 days onsite in Vienna, VA or Winchester, VA. The ideal candidate will mentor juniors and contribute to reusable components while staying current with OS updates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile banking features for iOS and/or Android.
• Resolve production issues and improve platform stability and performance.
• Collaborate with Agile cross-functional teams including front-end, back-end, and product stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Adhere to platform-specific development standards and best practices.
• Write and maintain unit and UI tests; participate in code reviews.
• Stay current with mobile OS updates and development trends.
• Promote reusable components and platform excellence.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team.
• Support enterprise-wide mobile initiatives and influence platform strategy.

This person will work a hybrid schedule, with 2-3 days onsite. The candidates can work in Vienna, VA or Winchester, VA.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile banking features for iOS and/or Android platforms
• Resolve production issues and contribute to platform stability and performance improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including front-end, back-end, and product stakeholders
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Ensure adherence to platform-specific development standards and best practices
• Write and maintain unit and UI tests; participate in peer code reviews
• Stay current with mobile OS updates, development trends, and emerging technologies
• Advocate for platform excellence and contribute to reusable component libraries
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Support enterprise-wide mobile initiatives and influence platform strategy (senior levels)

The skills we are looking for in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Progressive experience in mobile application development (level-dependent)
• Proficiency in:
• iOS: Swift, Objective-C, Xcode
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SAFe preferred)
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
