Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 1 in the United States to join the Engineering unit focused on Android and iOS testing across OEM devices. You will conduct interviews, capture user needs, document requirements, and help design software specifications while developing and testing new applications.

This role emphasizes testing, issue analysis, test automation exposure, and collaboration across SDLC phases.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience in Android and iOS device testing, including test execution, defect validation, and issue analysis.
• Hands‑on experience testing Android and iOS smartphones/tablets across different OEM devices.
• Experience configuring devices, installing software builds, applications, and test packages.
• Ability to execute test cases, follow test procedures, and accurately document results.
• Experience identifying and validating issues related to app behavior, UI responsiveness, crashes, battery consumption, thermal performance, and overall device stability.
• Experience collecting device logs and creating clear defect reports for engineering teams.
• Exposure to test automation is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, and ensure accurate documentation of stakeholder requirements
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications, and aid in creation of process documentation
• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications, following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements
• Execute test plans, analyse outcomes, and report defects to the development team, to facilitate enhancement of software performance
• Support the integration of new software features, facilitating smooth transitions within the existing system infrastructure
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and creation of comprehensive documentation for ongoing system maintenance
• Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository
