About the Job

The MN Landscape Arboretum is seeking temporary Cashiers for the Gift & Garden Store operations. These are temporary positions (no more than 67 days total worked in the calendar year). Shifts may vary Monday through Sunday, including days and evenings. All work is onsite at the MN Landscape Arboretum's Gift & Garden Store in Chaska, MN.

These positions require excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people. Cashiers will assist guests, process sales including cash and credit/debit transactions, provide change, issue receipts, and answer customer inquiries about products. They will also help restock shelves and maintain display neatness.

• Opening and closing duties

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED and two years of operations and/or student support experience
• Professional, courteous interaction with guests and co-workers
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift 20 pounds
• Ability to follow safety protocols
