Job summary
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full-time MLS or MLT with at least 1 year of plate reader experience.
Under supervision, you will perform laboratory tests across hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, and immunohematology to obtain data for physician diagnosis and treatment. Daily QC and instrument maintenance will be part of the role, with strict safety adherence.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Laboratory Technician (MLT) by WV DHHR if working in WV.
- ASCP certification or equivalent licensing board preferred; must obtain within 1 year if not held.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests in hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, and immunohematology to obtain data for diagnosis.
- Perform and monitor daily quality control and instrument maintenance.
- Observe laboratory safety regulations.
