Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an associate degree as MLT.
• Current ASCP certification as MLS or MLT (AMT equivalent).
• Strong reading, writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate common laboratory equipment (analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, pipettes).
• Valid Hawaii license as MLS or MLT or in process.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids to aid diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
• Analyze, review, and report testing results.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory with hazards.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
