Job Title: MLP Student Testing Assistant Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Multilingual Pay Grade: AS 4 / 205 days

Coordinate and administer state-required language assessments while supporting multilingual students through identification, placement, progress monitoring, and program compliance. Work collaboratively with campuses, students, and families to ensure timely assessment, accurate records, appropriate instructional and course recommendations, and services that support student success. Assist with the enrollment, assessment, and educational support of newcomer students as needed. Serve as a department resource supporting LPAC processes, transcript evaluation, graduation planning, newcomer services, and state and federal compliance.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, personal computer, testing materials, and district software systems.
Posture/Motion: Prolonged sitting; frequent keyboarding; occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying of materials up to 20 pounds.
Environment: Frequent district-wide travel; office and campus settings; occasional prolonged or irregular hours during assessment windows.
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism; communicate effectively (verbal and written communication) with students, families, and staff.
Other: Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures; Other duties as assigned.
