Job summary

SumerSports is seeking a remote ML Platform Engineer to design and operate scalable ML infrastructure for data, training, serving, and inference. You will build reproducible pipelines, optimize compute, and ensure low-latency model delivery.

You will collaborate with researchers and AI engineers to move models to production, implement IaC deployments, and improve observability and cost efficiency at scale. This role offers a flexible remote work environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in ML platform, DevOps, or infra engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud infra.
• Hands-on experience managing GPU clusters and training/inference pipelines.
• Familiarity with data orchestration and storage formats (Delta, Parquet, Polars, Spark).
• Proven ability to ship and operate production ML systems with SLOs.
• Strong Python skills and comfort with infrastructure as code and automation.
• Experience with observability and cost optimization at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate ML infrastructure for data, training, serving, and inference.
• Build scalable, reproducible training/evaluation pipelines with versioning.
• Tune GPU/CPU workloads, manage clusters, and optimize costs.
• Serve models in production with low-latency APIs and safe rollouts.
• Define SLOs and instrument pipelines to monitor latency and data quality.
• Manage IAM, secrets, container security; enable CI/CD and IaC deployments.
• Collaborate with researchers and AI engineers to move models to production.
• Develop templates, runbooks, and tooling to repeat ML workflows.
