Job summary

Bethel School District seeks an instructional paraeducator to support multilingual education at Bethel Middle School and Challenger Secondary School. Responsibilities include small group and one-on-one instruction, material preparation, and collaboration between general and special education staff to assist with MLE testing and eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pass the ETS Para Pro test or Pearson Paraprofessional assessment.
• AA degree or higher may be acceptable.
• 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits completed at an accredited institution.
• Completion of registered apprenticeship program offered by WA Dept. of Labor & Industries.
• Completion of The Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and students in Multilingual Education (MLE) programs.
• Provide small group and one-on-one instruction as needed.
• Prepare lesson materials and collaborate with staff.
• Assist with testing for program eligibility.
• Support behavior management and create a student-centered environment.
• Participate in training to fulfill WA Core Competence requirements for paras.
