General Motors (GM) in Sunnyvale seeks a Machine Learning Validation Engineer intern to advance AI/ML validation for autonomous vehicle software. You will design automated testing pipelines, analyze driving data, and help define evaluation methodologies with safety stakeholders.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Master’s in CS/ML/Engineering with 2027–2028 graduation and have Python/SQL/C/C++ skills, plus exposure to ML or AI validation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's in CS/ML/Engineering or related field.
• Graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Experience coding in Python, SQL, C/C++ or others.

Responsabilités

• Enhance AI/ML validation frameworks and tools for AV software systems.
• Design and implement automated testing pipelines for sim-based and real-world validation.
• Use ML to enhance simulated performance metrics.
• Build tools leveraging ML and statistics to identify edge cases and failures.
• Analyze large-scale driving data to improve validation coverage.
