Scale AI, Inc. is seeking an ML Sys Research Engineer to accelerate the development of training algorithms for our Agent RL platform. This role involves optimizing and supporting large-scale training alongside cross-functional ML teams.

Ideal candidates will have experience in LLM training, strong software engineering skills, and a relevant advanced degree. The compensation range for this position is $250,000 — $350,000 USD annually, along with attractive benefits including health coverage and PTO.

Qualifications

• At least 1-3 years of LLM training in a production environment.
• Experience with post-training methods like RLHF/RLVR and related algorithms.
• Strong software engineering skills and familiarity with modern ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build, profile, and optimize our training and inference framework.
• Collaborate with ML teams to support their R&D.
