Job summary

Lyft is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer for the ETA team in San Francisco. You will contribute to a system that estimates ETAs for every ride request, impacting matching, pricing, and user experience.

The role focuses on low latency, high reliability, and accurate predictions, with collaboration across software engineering, ML, and data science. The team uses AWS, Kubernetes, Go, Spark, Python, and Airflow.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Machine Learning experience.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with big data processing / distributed data pipelines and tools such as Apache Airflow and Spark.
• Ability to work in distributed teams spread across time zones (North America and Europe).

We are hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to join our ETA team. Our team builds and maintains Lyft’s system responsible for estimating/predicting ETAs for every ride request on our platform. The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $140,800 – $176,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
