Job summary

Meta's Monetization organization is seeking a Research Scientist, Machine Learning for Monetization (PhD) to develop scalable classifiers and ML tools powering ads ranking across Meta surfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape feature roadmaps and adapt ML methods to distributed GPU environments for large-scale systems.

The role emphasizes research impact, publications, and real-world deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, completed before joining Meta.
• PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related field, completed before joining Meta.
• Experience with deep learning algorithms such as CNNs, transformers, quantization, or data-efficient learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable classifiers and ML tools using ML, data regression, and rules-based models.
• Suggest, collect, and synthesize requirements to create an effective feature roadmap.
• Adapt ML methods to distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU environments.
• Lead and contribute to research resulting in demos and/or publications.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and contribute to research product development.
