Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. is seeking talented Data Scientists and ML Engineers to join a hybrid team across San Francisco, Sunnyvale or Seattle.

You will help build and maintain a 24x7 ML infrastructure powering DoorDash’s three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers. You will dive into delivery data to improve ML workflows such as Search & Recommendations, Dasher Assignment, ETA Prediction, and capacity planning, collaborating with data scientists and product engineers to deploy scalable

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
• Experience building machine learning systems in production.
• Experience deploying ML models.
• Cloud computing infrastructure experience; distributed systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build a world-class ML platform where models are developed, trained, and deployed seamlessly.
• Work with Data Scientists and Product Engineers to evolve the ML platform for their use cases.
• Create high-performance, flexible pipelines to accommodate new technologies and modeling approaches.
• Design infrastructure to store trillions of feature values and power billions of predictions daily.
• Shape the centralized ML platform direction powering DoorDash's business.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and observability of training and inference infra.
