Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a senior leader for the EC2 Nitro ML Systems team. You will guide a pivotal performance engineering group spanning ML research to production-scale infrastructure and optimize EC2 for diverse workloads including LLMs and multimodal models.

You’ll shape platform design through performance insights, build benchmarking that scales with customer demands, and drive strategic decisions impacting AWS hardware and software stacks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• 7+ years working directly in engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting systems.
• 8+ years leading multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of the full software/hardware/network lifecycle including best practices.
• Experience partnering with product or program management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and delivery of ML performance measurement infrastructure.
• Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team for ML performance
• Drive architectural decisions for future platform design based on research and workloads
• Develop regression coverage across frameworks, firmware, drivers, networking
• Scale performance engineering from LLMs to multimodal models and new AI domains
