Job summary

Apple seeks a Machine Learning Engineering Manager to lead a team evaluating personalized Agentic Search quality for Siri. You will design scalable evaluation systems, build data-generation methods, and define metrics frameworks to enable privacy-preserving, high-quality results across devices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive online/offline metric design, and shape the long-term vision for improved personal question answering within Apple’s privacy-first strategy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industry experience building ML or ML evaluation systems at scale.
• 2+ years of industry experience in technical leadership or management.
• Knowledge of ML fundamentals, neural networks, and software engineering in Python or C/C++.
• Communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ML and software engineers to design and build scalable evaluation systems for personalized Agentic Search.
• Develop offline and online metrics to assess product and component quality and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with partner teams to define data and evaluation requirements and set priorities.
• Define the long-term technical vision for personalized Siri Search quality within a broader roadmap.
