Stripe is seeking an engineering leader to guide and grow a high-performing Risk Detection team. You will mentor engineers, partner with product and risk teams, and help make Stripe’s risk management a core product differentiator and driver of merchant trust.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in machine learning engineering, and experience coordinating with distributed teams—on-site or remote—across locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of engineering management experience.
• Prior experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a strong team of engineers, building relationships with customers internally and externally.
• Champion Stripe's risk management vision to attract and retain merchants as a product differentiator.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with leadership, product, infra, and risk strategists to drive impact.
• Influence strategic direction and platform decisions affecting Stripe and its customers.
